Judy says:
Photo of Cheyenne Chief ‘Two Moon’ at Fort Keogh, 1879, comes from The Frontier Years, by Mark H. Brown and W.R. Felton.

Photographer L.A. Huffman had a strong friendship with this genial, young Cheyenne warrior chief. Huffman’s admiration ran high in his writings pertaining to Two Moon. This Cheyenne Indian Chief was thoroughly NDN, revealed here by his Indian attire, very strong image, reflected during the Indian wars. Red lighting very much necessary, due to the colors in my painting.

N.B.: Judy originally sent this to the webmaster with the title Two Moons. Later, she sent a correction:
Everywhere I read his name as singular --we should change his name to "Two Moon" -- no "s." We try and try to do things correctly first time around, but end up realizing sometimes it takes 3 times to make it work.
