Beach, 1965

Acrylic resin on posterboard, 23½ in. x 29½ in. Collection of the artist

Judy says:
Painting was created while still in McCallum High School, Austin, Texas, for a project in Ms. Benbow's art class.

Used a beach scene to develop depth in a painting. Foreground has a full body of a detailed frontside of a woman, while background has the back side of a man standing in the water. A bumpy cliff centered between the two figures. Foreground reflects sandy beach, at the same time at top of painting a bluish and whitish sky. Sizes of woman and man enhances depth imagery.
