Judy says:
Have original painting in my place in west Texas.
When I was a VISTA (Volunteer In Service To America), 1968 to 1969, I worked for the tribal council at Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, Lodgepole, Montana. With late Roxy Gordon First Coyote Boy, published Fort Belknap Notes, monthly newspaper, for the two tribes, six Assiniboines and six Gros Ventres, on the reservation.
While living there, began to draw and paint numerous paintings, Minerva Allen, Assiniboine, recommended to me, German/Cherokee, to keep on painting Indians. Which I did, and those paintings that I created and gave to her and her husband, late John Allen, won first-, second- and third-place prizes at Indian Mid-Winter Fair, there in Montana. I believe it may have been called "Crow Fair."
